Scottish side Dundee United have rejected a proposal from Serbian club OFK Beograd to sign Kenyan midfielder Richard Odada on a permanent deal, as per Footy-Africa.
The 24-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Beograd but featured only six times. Despite his limited game time, the Serbian outfit were keen to retain him for the upcoming campaign.
However, a source close to the negotiations revealed that Dundee United turned down the bid, insisting the offer was below their expectations. The club plans to reintegrate Odada into their squad for the 2025/26 season, with the player still under contract until 2026.
“Dundee believe Richard still has something to offer and want to give him another shot,” the source told Footy-Africa. “He’s also committed to proving himself in Scotland.”
Odada, who has 24 caps for Kenya, previously played for clubs in Denmark, Serbia, and the U.S., including Philadelphia Union and Crvena Zvezda. He joined Dundee United in 2024 and is currently valued at €200,000.
