Early on Wednesday afternoon, it was reported that Cardiff received an offer from Derby County for Adams, which was confirmed by the manager of the Bluebirds. A deal is now close to being agreed upon as talks advance.
Adams joined Cardiff City in the summer of 2022 from the EFL League Two side Forest Green Rovers after playing a vital role in their promotion to League One that season. He has made only 13 appearances for the Welsh side, with the majority of his time at the club being affected by a long injury layoff.
The 28-year-old finished last season with the Rams on loan and has instantly become their go-to player, making 17 appearances and earning the Goal of the Season award for his only goal of the loan period.
