BK Hacken, the Swedish football club, is making moves to secure the services of Zambian forward Edward Chilufya on a permanent basis, following his impressive loan spell with the team according to the Nerve Africa sources.
Chilufya, who is currently on loan from the Danish club Midtjylland, is set to remain with Hacken until the summer of 2024, having joined the club in September of this year.
This isn’t Chilufya’s first venture into Swedish football, as he previously played for Djurgårdens IF from 2018 to 2022. During his tenure, he notched up an impressive record, scoring 17 goals and providing 9 assists in 71 appearances across all competitions. In 2022, he moved to Midtjylland in a €3.5 million transfer deal.
However, his return to Swedish football with BK Hacken has been nothing short of sensational. Since making his debut with the club, Chilufya has found the back of the net 5 times in just 7 games, significantly contributing to Hacken’s third-place finish in the Allsvenskan.
Hacken’s manager, Martin Ericsson, is thoroughly impressed with Chilufya’s performance and is eager to retain him beyond his loan spell, according to sources within the Never Africa network.
Edward Chilufya, who is currently valued at €1.50 million according to Transfermarkt, has expressed his satisfaction with his time at BK Hacken. He faced limited playing time at Midtjylland in Denmark, where he managed to score only six goals in 61 appearances.
Additionally, insiders close to the player have indicated that Chilufya is keen to stay in Sweden, considering it his new home.
