Asante Kotoko SC has announced the signing of 19-year-old Ghana U-20 goalkeeper Benjamin Twum on a three-and-a-half-year deal via their official website.
Twum joins the Porcupine Warriors from Young Apostles, where he made a name for himself with standout performances in the Ghana Premier League this season.
A Young Talent with Big Potential
Twum has impressed fans and pundits alike with his sharp reflexes, excellent positioning, and calmness on the field. Despite his young age, he has shown maturity beyond his years, making him one of the most promising talents in Ghanaian football.
Head Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum praised the new signing, saying:
โBenjamin is a young goalkeeper with exceptional potential. Despite his age, he has shown maturity and composure in his performances. Weโre excited to have him as part of our team and look forward to his growth with us.โ
A Dream Come True for Twum
Twum couldnโt hide his excitement about joining Kotoko, a club he has admired since childhood:
โItโs honestly overwhelming to join Kotoko. This is a club Iโve admired for as long as I can remember, and the opportunity to be part of it is something I couldnโt have imagined at this stage of my career. Iโm here to learn, grow, and give my all whenever Iโm called upon. The support and belief from everyone Iโve met so far at the club already mean so much to me.โ
Twum will wear the number 13 jersey and will be officially unveiled at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, just before Kotokoโs Ghana Premier League match against Bibiani Gold Stars.
A Promising Addition for Kotoko
With Twumโs arrival, Kotoko strengthens its goalkeeping department, adding fresh energy and long-term potential. Fans are eagerly waiting to see the young shot-stopper in action, hoping his skills will help propel the team to greater success this season.
The move highlights Kotokoโs focus on nurturing young talent and building a squad capable of competing at the highest levels in both domestic and continental competitions.
Benjamin Twumโs journey with the Porcupine Warriors has just begun, and supporters are ready to cheer him on as he grows into a key figure for the club.
