KVK Kortrijk has officially confirmed the acquisition of Zambian midfielder Kings Kangwa from Crvena Zvezda Belgrade, according to the club’s website.
As earlier reported by The Nerve Africa, the 24-year-old Zambian international will join the Belgian club on loan until the end of the season, poised to inject his exceptional talent and energy into the Kortrijk squad.
Kangwa’s football journey has been marked by a rise to prominence in his homeland, Zambia. Following his stint in Russia with Arsenal Tula, he made a noteworthy move to Crvena Zvezda Belgrade in 2022. During his time in Serbia, Kangwa emerged as a pivotal figure in the team’s triumphant pursuit of the Serbian “double” and their spirited campaign in the Europa League.
Beyond his club successes, Kangwa stands as a key asset for Zambia on the international stage. Just last month, he demonstrated his scoring prowess against Congo in the Africa Cup, showcasing his commitment while representing the national team.
Now sporting the red and white colors of Kortrijk, Kings Kangwa is prepared to make a lasting impact. His dynamic playing style and valuable experience are expected to enhance KVK’s midfield, providing depth and flair as they navigate the challenges of the season.
According to sources at The Nerve Africa, the player signed a five-month loan deal with an option for a permanent move. As per Transfermarkt, the player’s current market value is estimated at €1.5 million.
