In a bid to bolster their attacking prowess, Bayern Munich is reportedly setting its sights on the €40 million-rated goal machine, Serhou Guirassy, as per Goal. The German giants aim to secure the Guinea international as they plot a potential summer move.
According to Bild, Bayern’s interest in Guirassy is driven by the prospect of having him as a backup to their first-choice striker, Harry Kane. The 23-year-old forward has been in sensational form, netting an impressive 17 goals in just 14 games this season. This goal-scoring spree has not gone unnoticed, with Manchester United and Tottenham also expressing interest in acquiring his services.
Guirassy’s market value has soared due to his prolific performances, capturing the attention of several European clubs. Alongside Bayern, Borussia Dortmund, Newcastle, Atletico Madrid, and AC Milan are also reportedly in the race for his signature. According to Transfermarkt the player’s current value is estimated at €40 million.
This season has been a breakthrough for Guirassy, surpassing his previous goal tally with 11 strikes for Stuttgart in the Bundesliga last season. The sudden surge in form has made him a sought-after prospect in the European transfer market.
On the international stage, Guirassy represents Guinea and participated in the African Cup of Nations. Despite not finding the net, his contributions helped his team reach the quarter-finals, where they suffered a 3-1 defeat to DR Congo. As Guirassy’s future remains uncertain, he is set to return to action with Stuttgart after his involvement in the AFCON.
