Kenyan striker Lewis Shivachi Lumula is set to move from one Albanian Second Division side, FK Apolonia Fier, to another, KF Valbona FC, The Nerve Africa sources have exclusively learned.
This development comes after the two clubs opened talks earlier this week, with Valbona keen on acquiring the forward, who has only five months remaining on his contract at Apolonia. The player signed a one-year contract when he joined them in January this year.
Shivachi’s agent, Rashidi Kenneth, disclosed to The Nerve Africa that Valbona has tabled a three-year contract for the 24-year-old and that the player is open to moving to the club situated in the Albanian town of Bajram Curri.
βThere have been concrete talks between the two teams, as we want certainty and calm regarding Lewis’s future. We are optimistic an agreement will be reached. We had proposed four years, but Valbona feels a three-year contract will be more sustainable, so we wait to see,β Kenneth said.
Shivachi struggled for sustained game time at Apolonia last season (2023/24), as the club juggled him between both the senior and reserve teams. With the former, he made five appearances without scoring a goal. However, he netted twice in four games for the reserve team (U21).
Before joining Apolonia, the striker, whose TransferMarket valuation is estimated at β¬10,000, featured for Kenyan Premier League side Poster Rangers, as well as Ligi Ndogo in the past.
While he has yet to receive a Kenya National Senior team (Harambee Stars) call-up, Shivachi has progressed through various youth level ranks, including the U15, U17, and U21 teams.
