Achievements with the National Team
In 2023, Adama Bojang, along with the Gambian U20 national team, participated in the CAF U-20 Afrcia Cup of Nations. He played in all matches, scoring four goals and providing an assist: his goal was the only one in the semi-final game against Nigeria.Β
However, in the decisive match, the Gambians lost to Senegal 0-2, securing only silver medals. In turn, Bojang tied with Senegalese forward Deo Bassinga for second place in the tournament’s top scorers list, trailing only Senegal’s midfielder Pape Diop by one goal. Additionally, the Gambian was selected for the team of tournament.
Six months later, the Gambian forward made his debut at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina. Adama Bojang scored a brace in the very first match of the group stage.
