In a significant development the Zambian Super League club, Kansanshi Dynamos, has taken the decision to part ways with their head coach, Boyd Mulwanda and according to the Nerve Africa sources to appoint Mwenya Chipepo.
This decision comes after a string of disappointing results throughout the current season. Boyd Mulwanda, who took the reins in January 2022, faced a challenging campaign this season. Out of ten matches played, the team only managed to secure a victory in one.
In the wake of Mulwanda’s departure, there’s anticipation surrounding the imminent arrival of Mwenya Chipepo as the club’s new head coach. Chipepo, who recently resigned from his managerial position at Power Dynamos, is poised to take the helm at Kansanshi Dynamos according to several the Nerve Africa sources.
Chipepo’s reputation in Zambian football is well-established, having guided Power Dynamos to a Super League championship victory in the previous season. His departure from Power Dynamos was reportedly influenced by interference in team selection by some club executives, as reported by the Zambia Daily Mail.
Kansanshi Dynamos will be looking to Mwenya Chipepo to bring fresh momentum and success to their campaign as they navigate the challenges of the Zambian Super League. The official announcement of Chipepo’s appointment is expected in the coming days.
