Following their unsuccessful attempt to return to the Star Times Uganda Premier League last season, Police FC has made significant changes to the team by signing 12 new players.
According to Kawowo Sports, among the newcomers brought in to help reinstate the club in the top-flight division of Ugandan football are Gabriel Eragu (signed from Luweero United), Robert Edmond Otim (Kataka), goalkeeper Edward Kasibante (Kataka), Derrick Raymond Onyai (Kataka), Ivan Eyam (Arua Hill), Steven Kabuye (Arua Hill), goalkeeper Edgar Tukahirwa (Mbarara Rangers), Allan Bukenya (Katwe United), Isaac “Falcao” Ogwang (Arua Hill), Ahmed Amayo (Blacks Power), and Brian James Obedi (Ndejje University).
Kawowo Sports believes that the list of new signings represents a blend of youth and experience that is expected to lead the club back to the top.
Police FC will kick off their campaign in the FUFA Big League 23/24 (Uganda’s second tier) with a home game against newly promoted Young Elephant at Kavumba Recreational Centre Stadium on September 25th.
