Gambia U20 midfielder star Muhammed Sawaneh has completed his move to an Egyptian Premier League club ZED FC from Senegalese side Teungueth FC according to thenerveafrica.com exclusive information.
Muhammed signed a five-year contract with Zed that will keep him at the club until 2028.
Sawaneh had an impressive stint at Teungueth after a move from Gambian top-tier side Tallinding United in 2021. He has since then, represented his country at the youth level in both continental and global levels.
Sawaneh was a key part of the Gambian squad that finished as runners-up at the youth AFCON in Egypt earlier this year and the World Cup in Argentina, respectively.
Before this ultimate move, Sawaneh reportedly received interest from top European clubs which seems impossible to happen now. However, he has all it takes to seal such a dream given the partnership between his new club and EPL side Aston Villa.
