Wunderkind Francis Gomez left The Gambia for Turkey in the early hours of Thursday for a trial with Turkish Super League side Samsunspor, as per The Nerve Africa sources.
A source close to the discussions reveals that the trial is set to last “between 2 weeks and a month.”
The young sensation, Francis Gomez, scored 3 goals for The Gambia U-17 team, helping them secure a bronze medal in the recently concluded WAFU A CAF Qualifier U-17 Championship held in Thies, Senegal.
The rising star earned this feat following his impactful performance in the WAFU A CAF U-17 tournament, where he received a Man of the Match award, as well as showcasing domestic brilliance.
