According to The Nerve Africa sources, Gambian teenager Modou Lamin Marong has left the shores of Gambia to join Hungarian first division side Nyiregyháza Spartacus FC on a three-year permanent deal.
The move was facilitated by Cherno Samba and his SPOCS agency.
After a series of trials across Europe and a few temporary stints at various clubs, the young Gambian forward has now secured a permanent transfer to his new team in Hungary.
Marong, who played for Steve Biko FC in Gambia, had a solid FIFA U20 World Cup campaign with the Gambia U20 national team before undergoing trials with Dunajská Streda U19s last year.
With a market value of €75,000, the highly-rated youngster is expected to bring his goal-scoring abilities to Nyiregyháza Spartacus, a club that will be counting on him to deliver on their attacking front.
