Young Nigerian goalkeeper Chijioke Aniagboso is on the verge of completing a loan move from Ukrainian club Chornomorets Odessa FC to Swiss Second Division outfit FC Schaffhausen, sources from The Nerve Africa have exclusively learned.
Schaffhausen and Chornomorets, a team competing in Ukraine’s top tier, have reached an agreement for the goalkeeper, with the loan deal set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Sources close to the player’s representatives, GSB Sports Agency, disclosed that the Swiss club will cover the 20-year-old’s wages for the remainder of the campaign. The same source also revealed that the necessary paperwork will be signed early next week.

Aniagboso, whose Transfermarkt valuation is estimated at €100,000, previously played for Ukraine’s Polissya, featuring at both youth and senior levels. He also played for Giant Brillars FC in the Nigerian Premier League.
On the international stage, the goalkeeper has represented Nigeria’s U20 team in both the CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2024 U20 World Cup. Despite being called up in the past, he has yet to earn a cap for the Nigerian Senior National team (Super Eagles).
