Coventry City is on the verge of securing the services of West Bromwich Albion striker Brandon Thomas-Asante. As per Coventry Telegraph, the transfer fee for the 25-year-old Ghanaian international is approximately €2.3 million.
Thomas-Asante’s journey in football has been impressive. He began his career at League One side MK Dons, experienced a stint in the National League, and then made a remarkable comeback in League Two with Salford City. His performances there caught the attention of West Brom, where he transitioned from a wide man to a striker and quickly established himself as a regular performer in the Championship.
In the previous season, Thomas-Asante had a notable impact, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists for West Bromwich Albion. His standout performances drew interest from several clubs, including Hull City. However, Coventry City emerged as the successful bidder, aided by former Ghana assistant coach George Boateng, now a first-team coach at Coventry.
