Eighteen-year-old Gambian midfielder Babucarr Jobe is currently on trial with Swedish Allsvenskan club IFK Värnamo, according to fotbolltransfers.com.
Babucarr was spotted by the sporting director of IFK Värnamo, Enes Ahmetovic, who was in Gambia on a scouting mission a few weeks ago.
Enes was impressed by Babucarr, who was outstanding in a friendly game between his parent club Real de Banjul and loanee side Elite United during the scouting.
According to reports from Sweden, the Värnamo club management is currently impressed with Jobe’s performance as the trials continue. The Allsvenskan side could consider offering him a permanent contract.
Babucarr, who is just beginning his career, hopes to convince the Värnamo club even more to achieve his dream of becoming a professional footballer.
