Modou Keita, the 2022/23 young player of the season for Gambian first-tier side BST Galaxy FC, is on the brink of securing a permanent deal with Tunisian giants Esperance Tunis, according to The Nerve Africa sources.Β
The young striker played a crucial role in BST Galaxy’s promotion to the Gambian top-flight last season, contributing significantly with his goal-scoring prowess. His impressive performances caught the attention of scouts, earning him a trial with Cypriot 2022/23 Premier League champions AC Omonia Nicosia in October 2023.Β
However, the trial perhaps didn’t meet expectations.Β
Keita is poised to become the third player from the emerging BST Galaxy ranks to sign with a foreign club this winter, following in the footsteps of Yusupha Kambi and Lamin Sarr, who moved to Slovakia and Hungary, respectively.Β
Despite currently having no market value estimated, Modou is expected to maintain his goal-scoring prowess and attacking quality at Esperance Tunis. He will join forces with his Gambian compatriot Kebba Sowe, aiming to secure the breakthrough move to a higher level.
