The transfer saga of a 21-year-old Gambian striker, Bubacar Tambedou, has reached its conclusion as he secures a permanent deal with Israeli football giants, Hapoel Tel Aviv FC, departing from his former club, Paide Linnameeskond in Estonia. According to The Nerve Africa sources the confirmed transfer fee stands at €100,000, which is €25,000 short of what had been reported earlier.
While the transfer fee may have fallen short of initial expectations given Tambedou’s significance to Paide, his current market value stands at €300,000, indicating potential for further growth.
Tambedou’s decision to move to Hapoel Tel Aviv has stirred controversy among Gambian fans, who have criticized the move. Nevertheless, the transfer has brought financial gain for Paide, who received the aforementioned sum as a transfer fee from Hapoel Tel Aviv.
Despite some contention over the transfer fee, Tambedou’s value to Paide cannot be understated, particularly considering his contributions over the past two seasons. During his tenure with the Estonian club, the striker demonstrated his prowess on the field, tallying a total of 36 appearances, accompanied by 14 goals and 4 assists. Notably, Tambedou played a pivotal role in Paide’s success, aiding the team in securing the Estonian Cup.
