Gambia U23 player Buba Jammeh had his deal with the Portuguese club Estrella de Amadora cancelled after six months of waiting without acquiring a visa to leave Angola, as per sources from The Nerve Africa. The forward initially signed a two-year deal with the Portuguese club from the Angolan club GD Interclube in July 2023 but has since struggled to obtain a visa to join his new club.
Buba formerly played in the Hungarian Premier League with Mezokovesd-Zsory after moving from his boyhood Gambian club BK Milan, becoming their first-ever player to sign a professional contract abroad. However, this time he has found it difficult to reach Europe due to what is considered bureaucratic problems.
The 22-year-old right winger joined the Angolan side Interclube on loan from BK Milan in 2021, and his loan has now expired, leaving him with the option to return to his parent club or look forward to a potential offer for his estimated market value of €100,000.
