Young Gambian talent, Lamin Daffeh has embarked on a two-week trial with the Nottingham Forest Academy, competing for a coveted spot in the English Premier League side according to The Nerve Africa sources.
Daffeh, 16, a versatile player, caught the eye during his one-year stint with the Notts County Football Club Academy in the English League 2, where he achieved the distinction of being the youngest player to join the club. Now, he faces a new challenge as he vies for a place in the prestigious Nottingham Forest Academy.
The Gambian-born teenager, who admires football icons such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Pogba, is not just dreaming of personal success. His ultimate goal is to represent The Gambia on the international stage, regardless of the age category.
“I always wanted to play for The Gambia. Even now, if I can make it to the U17 or U18, I will be pleased and will keep working hard to progress more,” expressed the aspiring footballer.
Central defensive midfielder is Daffeh’s natural position, and he harbors ambitions of becoming one of the best in his role while securing numerous accolades with the Gambia national team. Despite his current trials with Nottingham Forest, the young star holds onto childhood dreams of playing for football giants like Manchester United or Real Madrid, aspirations he hopes to realize in the future.
