Guinea on Wednesday recorded three new, confirmed cases of Ebola and three deaths, probably due to the virus, the government said.
All the cases are in the village of Koropara in Nzerekore prefecture, the government said in an e-mailed statement. One patient is in the hospital at Nzerekore.
The West African country is trying to contain a flare-up of the disease after being declared Ebola-free on Dec. 29.
From March 17-21, five cases were reported, with four deaths, the government said. About 961 people from 181 families are being confined in the Koropara area and check points have been set up.
