Creating an ad deemed remarkable is fulfilling and can attract a globally recognized award but more rewarding is being recognized and selected to be part of the Grand Jury, to judge some of the world’s best advertising works at the New York Festival.
Each year, New York Festivals brings together a new international jury of top creatives to recognize great work and this time Etu Odi Communications (a full service creative agency which combines insightful brand strategy, creative communication and engaging experiences while helping organizations chart the course from awareness to loyalty in the minds and hearts of its customers) would grace its 90-man Grand Jury.
Now in its 60th year, the New York Festivals, has been recognized worldwide as a touchstone for global creative excellence in advertising and marketing communications. The upcoming festival will expand its robust competition roster, as well as, unveil additional areas within the advertising, marketing, and communications sphere to showcase innovative creatives from around the globe.
The New York Festival receives entries from over 80 countries in all media, and NYF’s powerhouse roster of competitions represents the full spectrum of creative work in the world of advertising communications.
Uzoma’s creative agency has retained in its portfolio, Nigerian Breweries Plc (NBC), where it leads communications for 33 Larger beer, one of the numerous brands on NBC. Also, Etu Odi leads the marketing communications of GameOn, a new entrant into the betting segment, FirstBank as well as Saint Gobain, a French conglomerate, whose business interest covers construction amongst others.
Adding to its creative resumé, the agency bagged a gold medal at the 2016 Lagos Advertising & Ideas Festival (LAIF). Also, a couple years back, in Marrakesh Morocco, Etu Odi won an Emerald at Cristal.
With a total 215 judges, Uzoma is just one of the 4 Nigerians selected to take part in the Jury. The other 3 are Steve Babaeko founder and CEO of X3M Ideas, Ndukwe Onuoha creative director of 7even Interactive and Maurice .C Ugwonoh, creative director of Noah’s Ark Communications, an affiliate of the Dentsu Aegis Network.
Excelling in their area of expertise, these men have been honored to sieve out the most creative adverts, reviewing the entries based on 3 criteria; Idea, Execution and Brand Relevance.
