ABAX, the Mauritius-headquartered investment structuring specialist, has extended its footprint in Africa with the opening of a new office in Abidjan. The office, its 7th partakes of the Group’s strategy to reinforce its presence in Africa, especially in Ivory Coast, a dynamic business hub increasingly positioning itself as a preferred gateway to a host of opportunities in the French-speaking countries throughout Africa. The Ivory Coast office is an addition to ABAX offices already operating in Dubai, Johannesburg, London, Nairobi and Singapore.
“The opening of our Ivory Coast office is in line with our vision to become a leading provider of integrated advisory, corporate and business services for Africa,” said Nousrath Bhugeloo, the Partner in charge of International Business Development at ABAX.
“Indeed, ABAX wants to increase its proximity with several African countries which are spearheading economic growth on the continent. With an annual growth close to 9%, Ivory Coast is currently confirming its position as an important business hub for French speaking West African countries,” Bhugeloo adds.
While the Abidjan office will help to better serve ABAX existing clients, it will also cater for the needs of new businesses including those from France and Europe looking for a convenient point of entry into the African continent. The ABAX Abidjan office is managed by Anjeelee Chinamal, a chartered accountant by profession and an experienced business developer with over 12 years’ working experience. She will be seconded by Laurent Chabrut, an economist and communication specialist, who will focus on the investment potential between Europe and Africa.
